🌿 The Spread — Self-Service Picnic Rental Agreement
We’re so excited you’re considering a self-service picnic with The Spread 🤍
The following terms constitute the rental agreement for The Spread self-service picnic rentals. By completing a booking through our scheduling system, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agree to the terms listed below.
⏰ Rental Window
• Rentals must be returned within the agreed 48-hour window.
• When pickup is scheduled, a return time will also be scheduled.
• Late returns may incur additional fees ($25 per hour).
✨ DAMAGE POLICY
A valid card is required on file for all bookings in place of a traditional damage deposit. No charge will be made unless items are returned damaged, missing, or excessively soiled.
Clients are responsible for the care of all rental items during their booking. Any items that are damaged, stained, lost, or not returned will be charged to the card on file at the replacement cost.
Please note: many of our items are part of curated sets. If one item within a set is damaged or missing, the full set must be replaced and will be charged accordingly.
☁️ Weather Policy
Self-service rentals are not weather dependent.
Clients are responsible for selecting an appropriate location and having a weather backup plan if needed.
📅 Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change.
• Cancellations made 7 or more days before the scheduled pickup date will receive a full refund (excluding any processing fees, if applicable).
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the rental date may receive a credit toward a future booking with The Spread. Credits must be used within 90 days of the original scheduled date.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of pickup are non-refundable, as items have already been reserved and prepared.
🚗 Transport Requirements
A mid-size SUV or vehicle with fold-down seats is recommended to safely transport picnic items. Larger parties (6+ guests) may require a larger vehicle or multiple vehicles.
🕯 Candles
Candles are included for decorative purposes only and are not to be lit.
⭐ Enhancements Available
Optional enhancements are available to elevate your experience — from lawn games and creative activities to custom details, floral arrangements, lounge upgrades, decorative teepees, and thoughtfully curated options for children.

📦 Care Guidelines
• Please keep all items clean and dry.
• Do not leave items outdoors overnight or in rain or wet conditions.
• Use care to avoid spills on cushions and linens. Permanent staining may result in replacement charges.
• Please rinse dishware and glassware before packing for return.
• Pack items securely for return in the same manner they were received.

By completing a booking with The Spread, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agree to all terms listed in this Self-Service Picnic Rental Agreement, including policies regarding damage deposits, replacement costs, rental timelines, transportation requirements, and cancellation terms.
